Soluta.Net is glad to announce the release of ProjectWeaver, a product whose aim is to improve the work experience of those who utilize Sparx Enterprise Architect in medium/large-sized projects and scenarios.

Enterprise Architect allows to decompose each project in packages which can be nested to form an arbitrarily deep structure, hence giving the possibility to define sections and interest areas and to manage access policies to the various elements, reflecting the hyerarchical structure of an organization. In complex projects, however, management by means of a single project often turns out to be difficult due to the size of the model and to the number of resources shared among project areas.

A possible solution to this problem consists in creating a project for each area, project or departiment involved, so as to split the problem and to make it easier to manage it. In this way, however, sharing resources (document templates, modeling patterns etc.) among elements belonging to an organization becomes difficult.

Thanks to its experience in using Enterprise Architect and in providing consultancy services on this product, Soluta.Net is capable of proposing a solution to this problem: ProjectWeaver aims at helping organizations using Enterprise Architect in their daily activities by means of a centralized management of modeling projects. Presented as an Enterprise Architect plug-in, ProjectWeaver can be installed and used directly from within the application to collect and govern all repository instances owned by the organization.
